    Hi Charlie,

    YUUPP,
You would also need decal no 1.

The 70 decal does have the year in it. If you look at the repro around the outer ring between the Porsche and Weltmeister words you will see "1969". The later multiple year decals have the larger abbreviated years with the fields reversed. Look closely at my posted pic and you will see that a portion flaked off completely in the outer ring. The "1969" portion. I'm going to splice that in from a new decal.

    Cheers,
    Michael

    DOH!!!!

The previous owner of my car painted it black back in the 80s. In fact, when I bought it, it had all of the same 73 details that Michaels has. (bumper guards, trim, etc) Kinda scary how similar our cars really were. Even spookier.....my car was originally a silver with red interior car!!!!

Michael, Im excited for you. Looks like you got a great starting point. We are all celebrating for you, but I bet Bruce Anderson will tell you that you paid to much Congrats for buying an "S". You are going to love it. Trust me, the first time you drive her, all the $$$$ and time will be well worth it!

I didn't see that little "1969" off to the side.

As for my car's previous color, the PO changed it from sepia brown to grand prix white. For some reason I haven't gotten around to restoring it to the original color Some PO's have the right idea. Silver with a red interior? Shagadelic, baby, yeaahh!

Totally off topic, but when I see 70SATMAN's avatar, it always reminds me of the ski mask used in the slice and dice movies. Must need to get my eyes examined or see better movies....

    Whoa RickS,

Every time I see our friend Jared's (JCR) I see an olive!!!

I know the 60's were pretty good to me but damn!... I designed that logo, and still, all I see is an olive...

    And so it goes....
