EX-works rally Carrera 3.0 to undergo restoration

Early 911 Ltd. has become inolved in the restoration of an ex-works rally 911 Carrera that Zasada, the European rally champion in 66, 67 and 71, drove in the 1977 London to Sydney Rally

    The car is based on a 1977 Carrera 3.0, VIN # 911760081

Agreed! Very cool car to restore.

    Don,
Check out Nick's website link in the signature line above. There are more photos there. Seems that George has first dibs on the fuel tank if Nick puts in a fuel cell.

Great car and a great project.

Hey Nick, inquiring minds want to know, what are those square fabrications on each side of the chassis in the trunk just ahead of the shock towers? They sure look intended and purposeful.

Interesting article and pics, Nick. That Zasada was quite a character. He came back in his 70s to drive rallies again?

I just want clarify that it's not my car, it was bought by the owner of the Signal Orange 70ST that I navigate for. The plan is to get the car prepared for this summer's London to Sydney rally. He is looking for a navigator for that event if anyone has a couple of months free and a few thousand ££s to cover their share of expenses.

I beleive the extra boxes welded into the inner arches are mounts for auxilary dampers. There is am 8mm hole at the base of each one.
