Thread: OEM Dash Pads

    Dash

Clyde - I am getting around to installing my dash this summer, and should have my old spare from a 70E that might be a candidate. Can't promise a firm date, but if you can find me a left side door pull from a RHD car we can work out an equitable trade!

I have 4 early 911's, 69, 70, 71, and 73. All have square grills, and all appear to be original to the cars.

I also have an NOS in the bag grill, which has the corners angled (diamond shaped), and it has a Porsche part number on it and is date stamped 1986.

    Regards,

    Eric

Rather than steal the original thread I have posted a picture of an RS dash (from Konradsheim's "Carrera RS" book) here

Well I just heard back from Sunset Imports. The dash that was $750 last August is now $950.

I just submited an online quote to justdashes. Hopefully they have't raised their prices as well.

They did the dash for my 73 911E and charged me $650. $450 for thje dash itself, another $110 for the speaker cut-out (yes, they charge separate for this) and the remainder in shipping both ways. It turened out great but took 8 weeks rather than the 4-6 they promised. You won't be disappointed in their work though. As PWS72 stated, it is concourse quality.

    Paul,

Yes I see what you mean. I was talking about the outline of the outside set of holes in other words the same as the picture you have included.

Some dashes were made in the late 90's by Porsche Classic I think and the outline went diagonally across the corners. I have attempted to attach a picture not sure if it will work or not.

FA-18C..... I willl attempt to locate a good one and let you know. My email is cboyer@bigpond.net and yes I would be interested in a trade deal indeed.

Mike I hope this ends the confusion as if you have the same speaker cover as in my attached picture then I think you have a later speaker cover

I have had enormous help from both Robert Gross and Jeff Smith to whom I am greatly indebted in helping me source, validate and ship the car to Australia.

Without these two guys it would have been impossible for me to acquire this car and it says a lot that they have both been willing to help someone they have never met and I have had the utmost faith and trust in them doing the tasks they said they would.

I hope to meet many of you later in the year as Ventura is a must on my calender this year.

    Thanks guys!!!!
