I recently installed a set of turbo tie rods. I installed the outside end of the boot so the end fits right on the rubber disc on the rod. The boot spit at the end on both tie rods after just 100 miles. I've since bought two new boots and installed the outside end so the boot hangs over the rubber disc and is anchored with a plastic strap at the grove. This dosen't seem right either and the instructions aren't clear in the "101 Projects for Porsche 911" book. Can anyone help? It might be that the boot is simply worked over the end disc and moves freely on the inner side of the rubber disc. Any help will be appreciated.
