Thread: Instruments Restoration

    Question Instruments Restoration

I'm looking at having a clock brought back to life and a speedo converted to kms. The clock's works would be converted to a quartz movement. And apparently the speedo can be refaced and the mechanism reworked to have the odometer accumulate in kms. as well. The gauges are out of a '69 911S. I was considering sending them to either Palo Alto Speedometer or North Hollywood Speedometer. Does anyone have an opinion on these procedures or either of these shops?

    Thanks

I have used North Hollywood Speedo on several occasions for instrument restoration/uprating & have nothing but praise for their excellent quality workmanship.

Ditto here...North Hollywood recently did an excellent job on a gauge for Evren's car. I handled the shipping, providing Evren with a USA address, then mailed the gauge to Istanbul...it looks fantastic, and is functioning perfectly.
