    still getting closer

well...I was planning on driving it over to Andial but since it sat at Auto's Int. for a year and a half when I went to siphon the old gas out of it there wasn't any, so just to be safe and since I have that AAA hundred mile free tow I just flatbeded it.

first time it's seen the light of day in a while.

so....I wonder what Kurt is up to ?

Car looks great. It took a year and a half to do the interior? I saw how good it looks, but wow, that's a long time.

    Kurt's secret plans revealed...!!!

"...so....I wonder what Kurt is up to ?"

Well... I extracted this from the other RGruppe thread.....which gives a clue or two as to what Kurt is cooking up....

"....Not to be left out, i'm making major, major changes to my 911 rod that may get me committed to a mental hospitol. But i'll take that chance. If you thought you saw something radical last year in Monterey, just wait till the Targa Floria 04.

My guess might be a possible nitrous-shot system …

But I'm really hopin his hot rod shows up with big fenders and tires so he can use all the power he already has...

    ... but that's just me

Kurt is very keen on the narrow body look - I'd be surprised if his car sprouts flares...

In various other threads both here & on Pelican he's spoken about his quest for further lightening & mentioned aluminium floorpans & ceramic brake discs (rotors) plus installing a 935 dry sump system with the oil tank up front.

Apologies for straying off topic Sam.

Didn't Kurt have all kinds of problems putting the power he already has down when he did that autocross at Irwindale? I wonder what he has done since then to sort that out.

I just love the juxtaposition of Kurt's and Sam's cars in that photograph - two completely different expressions of an early 911, and both great cars.

    Monterey coming soon.
