    Turn signal lens seals

It's an odd question rife with the "who cares" but, I'll ask anyway.

What was the original color of the lens seals for the 69-72 cars with the silver trim? I swear mine are gray which makes sense not to clash with the asthetics of the silver trim. The interior partition seals are gray too.

I have been curious to see if I could find NOS and have had two guys tell me they were ALWAYS black. I can understand 73 on.
since they went to the black trim on the lenses.

    What's the consensus

My '71 seals, or what's left of them, are gray.

    THAT"S WHAT I THOUGHT!!

YEA!!! The score is now three to two. We're in the lead.

Yeah PWD, the only supposed NOS replacements I have been able to locate are black.

One particular guy who deals in a lot of high end NOS told me yesterday that they have "always and forever been black". Don't know if he was just trying to push his stuff or what. I didn't bite.

With the thought the factory put into the materials I couldn't believe they would put black with the silver.

    More input needed!!!
