Sunday; May 2nd (ask me later, I'm still planning it... : )

This year will mark our 5th year anniversary and should be attended by as many R Gruppe members as possible. Understandably, there are those who may have other commitments and responsibilities which precludes them from being able to attend. I encourage those who have yet to attend our yearly 911 gathering to come and partake in this event.

We're going all out on this year's 5th Anniversary of R Gruppe. This year's theme will pay tribute to one of the all time greatest race in Italy, the TARGA FLORIO. The idea behind all this is the creative thinking dreamed up by one of R Gruppe's founding member, my good friend and Techmeister, Ernie Wilberg who came up with the idea a couple of years ago and finally decided to put it together for this year's R Gruppe Gathering. If you miss this one.... you may just miss out on the BEST R Gruppe gathering of our 5 years history. Shame on you ; )

See you all in Monterey next week.

    best to all,

    The weather !!!

I can't thank you guys enough for all you are doing. It's a big deal to pull this off. I checked weather.com and it's going to be perfect weather all weekend!!! What a turn around from last year.

On a differant note........I am the first R Gruppe to report back from the Rennsport Reunion.
All I can say is " Oh my God" ! This was the largest Porsche gathering for historic race cars ever held in the world!! There were about 300 cars at Lime Rock for the first Rennsport, at Daytona, there were close to 600 !!!! Everyone said the same thing.........overload.......to much...beyond human comprehension.... overload. Many off us were speach less.

Anyway, Sam shot over 1000 shots I think so the posts will be coming soon.
Thanks again to all the guys putting the R Gruppe deal together.
Can wait for next weekend. Th relief from the Florida heat will be good for me.
Ernie.. I scrutinized 3 911R's very closely. I think these 911R's are like snow flakes, no 2 are alike. I now have seen 7 differant 911R's, and again, no two are the same 100%.
