    The lens surrounds were silver in '72...apologies for any confusion my car has caused. I went to euro lenses with black trim decades ago. Still have the USA silver trim ones, but kind of like 'em black & euro. It would be hard to have a PPI done in the time left...but overall, a nice car...guess a price? Not me...the early 911 market is a bit insane these days...

    The rear Porsche and 911E badges are from a pre 72 car.
    They should be dark. This may indicate a new engine lid has been installed.

    The rubber around the gearstick is from a 73 model.

    Apparently, it sold for $15.1K. No bids over the remaining 24 hours is surprising. How much would a comparable-condition '72 911S sold for? That's why Es are a great bargain sometimes.
