Got pics of Metalic Dark Green?

I just took delivery of a '68 project today. It's in primer and the color is supposed to be Metallic Dark Green # 62109 (Special Order from '67). Does this look like the color?

I know the car pretty well. Its owner and I use the same shop. It is truly a "reference" car. Having seen the car several times, I wouldn't describe the color as "dark", but descriptions can be misleading and I'll ask our mechanic to check the paint code the next time he sees the car. Can't promise when that will be, but I'll do my best!

Thanks Jack, the parts on my car that still have Metalic Dark Green on it are very small and make difficult samples.

I really want to paint it See Blue (Dalmatian), but I don't know if the Super Secret Paint Police will let me get away with it! "Color change" being such a stigma for resale somewhere down the road.

    Jared and Jack,

The car in the corral was exceptional... and WHAT-A story

The color on that car is #230 Metallic Green - 8383... I've also heard it called 'Green Gold'

Don't remember see'n a 'dark metallic green' for any of the early 911's ... maybe you can back-date a 356 color?

    Hope the helps,

PS... That blue is one of my favorite colors...

    Cheers, off to Monterey...

The '69S shown below is an original owner car, owned by Rol Titsworth. He's a local PCA officer and a very nice guy. Paint is original and he swears it's called green-gold (a non metallic). It's similar to chartreuse, but noticeably more to the ochre/yellow side. I didn't get a paint code. Great color, when I first saw it I thought it was willow green.

Here's a Glasurit chart showing 2 dark (dunkel) green metallics. The one at the bottom is #230 (shown on the corral car above) but it looks like there was a darker metallic green for earlier years. #221 is listed as a 1970 color, possibly used in '67 too??

    Jared,

Do you know how I can contact the owner of the 914/6 in the picture you posted above?
    Thanks!

    Jack,
Same owner, Rol Titsworth. For anyone looking to buy, there's already a line of would-be purchasers with cash in hand for both of these cars. Not for sale as far as I know. If he does decide to sell, you may have to prove you're worthy. I don't mean to make him sound snobby, he's just very attached to these cars.

His info as listed in the local PCA page:

    Thanks, Jared.

Not looking to buy, but I'm interested in doing some mods to my 914/6 and the flare on the LF fender of Rol's looks a lot like the flares on the famous 914/8s (/6 with a de-tuned 908 engine) that were built for Ferry Porsche and Ferdinand Piech. I'm just curious about how Rol has set up his car.

    Thanks again for the information.

Metallic Dark Green #62109 is a Special Order paint from 1967. Door jamb of my '68 indicates #62109. I still wonder what it looks like on a car.

Here is my Green 72' S. Not the same green that was in the original Brochure. I assumed it was the optional metallic Green.
