    Early (67S) sport muffler question.

For those of you with factory early sport mufflers:

I have an extra muffler off my 67S that I am planning to make the dual out sport muffler out of. I have done this a long time ago and have found the old Up-Fixin that shows the basic steps.

My question is: how long are the pipes?, what OD/ID are they?, should they have deco caps, painted or SS? how far apart (center to center)?

I would like to make them look as original as possible. Also, any hints or ??? would be appreciated. Photos are also great.

    Vielen Dank!

Another question. Being that the muffler in question is one of two original mufflers that I have, are these rare items? Saw another thread that the Leistritz mufflers are sought after. Have not looked to see the part number although I know that the one is the original one to my 67 S car, and the other off my other 69E from a while ago. If these are rare, maybe I should buy a Dansk new product instead.

There are one or two good sport muffler threads going on over on Pelican right now. And, yes, I'm begining to think that any OEM muffler in good shape is something to think about before cutting into.
