Thread: R Gruppe 04 - notable absences

    There in spirit ...

Chris Tallon remembering his early 911 buddy from the CITY OF ROSES - nice touch my friend. Congratulations on your recent union. If she is the same Canadian woman that I met last year in Ventura, you definitely scored! I wish you both a long, healthy, & prosperous future together!

I think the two of you should come on up for the Emory event in June. It would be great to spend some quality time together. At the latest, I hope to toast the newlyweds at the upcoming German Autofest in September.

Tony (dad) told me that Marco (son and good guy) had to work. Ah well.

Also missing: Brian Fryar. Does he comprise the entire Indiana delegation?

And Jeff Smith was also MIA!

Thanks for the kind words Howard, and yes indeed she is the beauty you met last year in Ventura. I'd love to make the trek north to the camp out, but realistically will probably have to wait till Sept. to see you in Ventura again. Heavy work comittments.

We missed you old buddy. Your keen eye and that specail Doc Laz way of looking at things was conspicuously absent. Nice to see the Conda Green S in your collection. One of my favorite colors.

My olive RS E is better than ever. Thanks to you for the encouragement 2 years ago. I've never been happier with a car.

Looking forward to seeing you again my good man. I'll pass on your good wishes to Laila later today. Be well Laz....

Maybe the reason for the MIA's is that they have bin there and done that...and are losing interest?

Thanks for noticing Dick. I still haven't seen your Ducktail delete RS.

I went to Rennsport, flew home and then took my family back to FL, this time to Orlando to visit the big Mouse and attend our national convention. Had a great time with the wife and kids, but I truely wished I could have been 2 places at once.

I will be back in CA for the Monterey Historics in August and the GAF in Sept? I'm trying to figure out a way to send a car out for GAF. I'm tired of going to these great events with nothing to drive.

PS Congrats to you also Chris. Hope she likes Porsches.

Nobody wanted to be there worse than I.........first miss in 5 years.

Family, business (I have been at a sales meeting since Monday eve.), and personal health reasons (Repetitive strain injury of both forearms, but I am getting better!) forced this years cancellation. Hell, I am happy to be back at work after almost 5 months of disability!

I am going to be at Emory's with the Blue car come hell or high water....

Missed you all! Thanks for the pics, and the conversations during this last week.

    Regards,
    Eric

    Well He11

Let's start a great big bonfire and burn those offending members at the stake, that didn't have the courtesy to show up at the R Gruppe's rally this year....Boyz it's time to put your pictures and adventure stories in that dusty file known as memories....and move on....Nothing grows more tiresome than hearing the same ole story over and over again...

Strange, so many absent on the first year I attend.

Could it be that no one wanted to pale in the great shadow cast by Scruffy's beauty?

I promise to have some paint on my car next year. Hopefully I'll get to finally meet all the absentee's in person too!
