    Shawn,

Set up your digital camera to take 800X600 photos with medium or basic quality (that may mean breaking out the manual, sorry). That should creat images that can be up loaded to Pelican's site which I think is 100K max. for each photo.

For instance the photo above by lawik is 922X691 and is 86K. It more than fills my screen and the image is clear. The images you posted were more like 500X300, but were 89K. If you want to check the size of the photo, put your cursor on the image, right click and click on 'Properties', that will tell you where the image is hosted, size, type, etc. Hope that makes sense.

Nice car Paul, where do you buy one of those.

Hmmm... I'm starting to think that all the pic's of your car were taken in 1975 and that it's actually more like the burgundy / Viper green '72S that's on ebay right now

You can always buy yourself a Sony Mavica which uses a floppy disc rather than a memory card. No fussing around with uploading or getting pic's from the camera to computer.

    Shawn:

Love the pix, but I've gotta ask. How do you get more than one picture posted in a single post? I know that the Pelican site allows you to do that (post multiple) but this site only lets you do single pictures easily.

What is your secret? Oh do tell us.

    Larry,

He is able to do that because he used Pelican to host his photos. I can't attach more than one photo either so I almost always use the Rennlist site to host my photos that I post. If you follow the directions I posted above it will give the web address where the photo resides.

Wait a minute. Who's car is the green one and who is that in the pic? I think I may be confused and don't want to mislead others.

The Vbulletin program that manages this forum, in it's stock configuration, only allows 1 image per post. It's the same program Pelican uses as well as several hundred other forums on the net.

However, I'm not as smart as Wayne. He has modified the code to allow multiple images. I asked him about this when we first started to use this program but he never responded (too busy I guess). There are other ways of posting multiple images but that entails using someone elses website to store their images (not illegal, but I don't want to rely on another website's public resources to store my pics).

I'm sure there's a kluge to do this but I don't have the resources (time and smarts) to go beyond what we have here. We'll probably do an upgrade to the current version in the next few months. Nothing anyone would notice, but an upgrade might cure some bugs that now exist (mainly with new members getting "approved" automatically on a consistent basis and being able to list real birthdates instead of everyone being 35 years old, which in my case is perfectly fine).
