    Transmission codes & serial numbers

I've been having the hardest time finding a list of transmission codes and their corresponding serial numbers for the 911 from 1965-present. I've had no problem finding engine & chassis numbers, but the transmission info has been extremely elusive. I've done a google, but to no avail. I'm in the market for a couple of transmissions, but have no way of telling exactly what the specs are for the transmissions i'm looking at. Please help.
    Thanks.

    split,

As far as I've found (or not found) there is no single source for the trans. codes vs. serial numbers. There is however all the info you need in the...The small format factory 'spec' books

For the early cars you would have to buy 3
