    Can you identify the year & model?

    Can anyone identify the year and model for this early 911 or 912 transmission? Serial number is 3280201.

    It would be easier to identify the transaxle by the type number rather than the serial number. It is stamped on the case.

    Case code

    I have the number (902/1), but i have 2 factory Porsche charts that show the same case code for both early 911's and 912's. That's why i'm trying to see if the serial number will determine which application the case was used for.

    The Factory Tech Spec book indicates that this is a 5-speed transmission from the 1968 model 911's.

    Gear ratios are:

    1st 11:34
    2nd 18:34
    3rd 22:29
    4th 25:26
    5th 28:24

    Ring & pinion 7:31
