Can I get these for my 2.4 S?
Cute! Talk to most V-8 hot rodders & they'll tell you that mechanical injection doesn't work on the street. But the vintage hilborn stuff is coming back into favor. Now, with the advent of computer controlled EFI, these units can be converted to street use, and the look "WAYYY COOL"!To keep this on the right board, I figure it's only a matter of time until somebody figures out how to smooth out an old set of webers, use them as the trottle bodies, and make a wild looking injection system. Or, replicas of RSR stacks...or?

John Willhoit of 356 fame has done Webers as throttle bodies and added EFI to a 4-cam Carrera motor. Well, he didn't do it, but some here saw it at the open house. Moran saw it.
356 or 911...I'd love to see pics of such a set-up...

Wow! The Hilborn setup went for less than $600. All that old hot rod stuff sells at a premium. Try buying some Stromberg 90's on a triple manifold.
swbSam prpbably has a pic of the Willhoit deal. He was there.
twm makes throttle bodies that look very similar to webers- just add electronic injectors, pmo tall manifolds, wiring and a brain (just!)
they also make individual throttle bodies and cool intake pipes- very gnarly looking

Moon sells a Stromberg 97 set up (anything from 2 to 6) with the injector hidden inside the fuel bowls. Ha! Finally a 3-bolt 97 that doesn't leak gas! ;-) I think that Classic Gass out of NY makes them.
