    Paint Color

On the driver door post is the number "1810-1" I think this is the paint number. I have a 71S which has been repainted with a non-Porsche color of General Motors Indigo Blue. THe previous owner stated that the car was a dark blue. So does anyone know what color this car was. I will send for the Cof A but I want to know now. Thanks

    Paint color

    Thanks,

The indigo blue does look like that but has some metal flake in it. I need to decide if Go back to the original color or go wild like viper green. Need to see what my goal is.

For a 71S, definitely go back to original. Looks bitchin', especially with tan interior. Many people confuse albert with dalmatian. Albert blue is the darker one, like this :

    Arnie,

Don't get me wrong, I love Viper Green, but you just can't go wrong with an original color! I have seen Albert blue photos (other than the one posted) and it seems to be real nice. You have to be happy in the end, but think real hard before changing colors.

    BTW, what's your 71S vin. #, I'm 1214.

    All the best,

Colour code of the car (72E) is #325 and it is still mainly original.
A long while ago, Mark Waring told me that Albert blue is like royal navy blue.
