Talking Rennsport II inspired doodles & German RGruppe sticker prototype

As everybody, who could make it to a fantastic event in Daytona Beach this spring, I took home lots of impressions and so much inspiration...
    Photographs couldn't catch it all...
Not any big deal, but I did those rather quick 5x17" drawings, trying to deal with the great fun I had!! Seeing those for me 'iconic' cars - in movement on the track!
I thought they are worth sharing - with you guys!
    I hope you enjoy it!

    Wink And because...

... I just can't drive the 911 every day with this
German weather, I had to find a way to carry the 'Ridea' with me on my daily ride...
This is a one off still, not 'authorized' yet, but I WANT to show the colors...
Tomorrow I drive (the 73) down to a bigger Porsche gathering in the city of Ulm, I hope I find some old cars with spirit! Keep your fingers crossed!

Beautiful images, espcially the long-tail. I hope you don't mind, but I've saved them to my hard-drive. They'll only be used for personal use, but let me know if that's a problem.

Beautiful, Thorsten. If the Early S Registry or R Gruppe ever runs into a funding crisis, I see a smart way to generate some cash -- auction off a few of Thorsten's drawings.

That first one points to a way the 911 could have ( or better still, [i]should[i] have) been updated. The larger wheels and simplified lines make it look more contemporary, while still holding onto what was so good about the original design.

Michael Mauer should log on, here, and get a head start.
