    Hey Bob,

    I hear ya!

After being flanked by Curt and Cornpanzer's sport muffed rides at the Taj show, and having to look at my tach to see if my motor was still running at stoplights (couldn't hear a damn thing from my engine bay)... really got me thinkin'. Watch out neighbors!

They do sound nice - and those dual straight out pipes are hard to resist! I'd like to see your setup.

Come on, who has pics? Damn...how I wish that set-up would work with MFI!

Well Tom, you could always toss that troublesome MFI and convert to Webers...some kind soul, as a charitable act, might even give you a few hundred for your MFI set-up. Actually, Tom Wilkinson runs a Dansk twin pipe stainless muffler, with the pipes cut short. Maybe his 2.7 RS spec engine is more easily able to blast through a flat spot. Wish I had a pic on file, but I don't...not sure of the length, so won't hazard a guess. I'll add that his engine was "tuned" for this muffler by ROTHSPORT...in other words, this was the planned set-up when the engine was built.

The shorter, the louder. I made mine longer. They were too short at about 7 inches, IMHO.

According to another thread, the pipes are 9 1/2" long, 2" Dia., 10 3/4" center to center of pipe for a factory sport muffler...here is a link

thanks guys. the pipes were originally 12" (from the top of pipes to muffler body). i cut approx 6.5" with a pipe cutter taking shawn's advice to use the tape - thanks shawn. i followed the example of 2 cars knowing the owners gave it some thought. one of which was shawn's and the other belonging to freeman thomas - both excellent examples.
