I have some photos of 911R prototypes that I'd like to send you. Drop me a note at vonbulow@rennlist.net

    Nice collection !
by the way I sent you a PM awhile back (re; some wheels) don't know if the recent hacking effected its delivery.
If you still want to let them go let me know.

Kurt...perhaps Jens was referring to a series of 6 cars made pre "R" . 6 brought to the USA anyway, for race purposes, were called "rally cars", tho they saw track use here. One of the six was brought in for Porsche Cars Northwest...and I took a few B&W pics of it during it's autocross years. It was called "the silver weenie"...I have a pic of it on my computer, but can't figure out how to post it here...I click on the pic symbol, but then no way to browse my photo file???

Sorry Stephan, I thought you had your question answered. I was just trying to get a note to Ernie and I didn't have his e-mail handy. I mistakenly sent it to the forum instead of a Personal Message. My apologies.

If you need more photos I can dig into my archives. I have just short of 10,000 on file.

ps. "Porsche" is a two syllable word...Po-Wersh

    Kurt,
There were 3 or 4 "Pre Production" Rs that were built from production line tubs. The rest were built by Baur sp?
