    '58 Scarab Mk1

    Hey Chuck,
Really cool... so what did they run? 283 with a mag driven off the front by the FI pump? Looks like centers ground off 'vette v/covers.... Was Lucas or McKay making manifolds back then? Were they around? I've never seen a Hilborn for a sb with canted bases... the sbc Hilborns that I've have/seen have vertical bases... Algon had both canted and straight manifold bases... but the only Algon (canted) stacks that I've seen were short, straight and had smaller bells. Tell me, tell me... I need to know. ;o)

Any more pictures of the 904 in the background? Anything special/particular about it?

    Art Center Classic Cars 04

Come on ... you guys didn't get there? We had a great time there & we live in New Zealand!!!
The theme of the event was Supercars Past & Present. A wonderful assortment of pristine cars - including an RS60, 356C Cab, 904, R gruppe 1969 911R replica, & the supercar of the day a 2004 Carrera GT.
Grant Larsen co-designer of the Boxster & Carrera GT presented a session with some great photos & videos giving insight into the development both cars.
Ferrari, Lambo, Jag, Callaway Corvette, GT40, Noble, Saleen, Bentley, De Tomaso, Alfa, Lancia, BMW - somewhere close to 100 cars there.
    Will download some pix soon.
Thanks for the tips re posting pix.

    904

The 904 was still owned by its original owner & had an enlarged copy of the original bill of sale from Porsche KG. The guy even lives in the same suburb as he did 40 years ago! The car was mint!
