    just to clearify...

    Edwin

The double locker Erik is talking about is for the seat fore-aft slide adjustment, not for the rear seat access.

in the ebay picture of the single locker seat, the locking device in question is the one on the right of the seat on the seatbase, under the seat in the middle of the picture. its a little 90degree handle that releases the lock against the steel color track that has notches whichs holds the seat in place.

on a double locker seat, that notched track is on both seat rails, not just in the inside seat rail of a single locker. the outside locker is connected to the inside locker via a spring loaded two piece hinged flat bar (i thought it was steel)mounted on the base.

i would take a picture but my car is inaccessable at the moment....

Here's a photo of 73' sport seats. The seat on the left is missing a slider but if you look at the one on the right you'll see the notches on both sides of the seat and the notching mechanism that goes across the bottom of the seat.

I guess they decided in 73' that the seat wasn't heavy enough so they had to figure out a way to add more weight to the seats!

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.
