    So, long live Sepia brown!
Most Sepia cars I have seen for sale have had the original coat of paint on them. I don't think it's been a real popular re-spray option since the '70s

. It really is a great color. Sepia Brown (415), Leaf Green (6830), and Olive (414) have become my favorite colors for these cars. The period colors work well on early '70s cars. White, Silver, or Black work well to. Im not a fan of red cars at all, but Red looks good to me on our cars as well. It's really hard to make these cars look bad with paint alone. The only color that really turns me off when I see it on a early p-car is Rose.

The man who I will be working with on the tear down and repaint of the car says that many of the owners of cars he has done color changes are ditching guards-red color in favor of something else. He didn't even hint at sephia. Looks like this thread requires the word 'sephia' once per post.

    Not Guards Red

Interestingly enough, when Mike was starting to work on my car, before we decided to take it back to its original Viper Green, he said he would give me my choice of any color in the repaint.

In my naivete, I was not even thinking of going back to the original. But I was a babe in the Porsche woods then.

But Mike make one thing abundantly clear - No Guards Red. He said that he was very tired of painting Guards Red. That it seemed that everyone who wanted their car repainted, wanted Guards Red, and he was sick of it.

He mentioned Yellows, and Oranges among his favorites, but funny, never mentioned Sepia. (Rick - did I do that right? )

    More Lilac

Lilac is a funny color, looks darker on overcast days, sometimes bluish and definitely purple on bright sunny days
Exactly. Here's a T that's currently for sale in Holland. Certainly not the most common colour on these cars.
