    Monterey Historics....

    I know this is on the late side....My August schedule was just finalized.

    Any leads on rooms going to be available for the Historics Weekend? I can leave either the 11th or 12th. I can return either the 15th or 16th. Everything is sold out, EXCEPT for the $$$$ rooms that should only be going for $.

    Is anyone backing out of a reserved room?

    I'll probably be skipping this year after fifteen straight. I have a room reserved at the Tickle Pink Inn. Funny name, but a great hotel. It's located adjacent to the Highlands.

    I don't know what their policy is about transferring reservations, especially for this weekend. If you're interested, I'll look into it for you.

    THANKS for the offer. However, I am looking for a place closer to town.
    I did check out there website, very nice. More of a couples place.

    I'll be traveling with a coworker, don't need the amenities. Just a place to rest between car auctions, shows, and races.

    I'm going to be staying in Santa Cruz (Motel 6) and making the commute to the track each day. It's a haul, but I've done it a bunch of times and it seems to work well.

    Just a suggestion......

    Try Resort 2Me Lodging Reservations at 831 642 6622. They keep a
    data base of rooms available in the Monterey area and are good for a last minute check.
