Question Late fog light bracket ???

Does anyone have any info on the late fog light brackets that wrapped under the 72/73 S spoilers? Did they mount to the overider brackets? I don't have a source for the later accesorie part numbers. Was it a Porsche part? If so, anyone have the number or a picture of the full bracket?

    TIA,
    Michael

Anyone with a picture of this fog light bracket from the 73 parts catalog? I only have the 70/71 catalog and obviously isn't there because the S bumper was not yet offered

Is it possible that someone attached the fog lights to the AC condensor protectors like the ones pictured?

I posted a thread about those bars here.

The only fog light brackets I see in PET for the '72-'73 model years are the through the gille types.

I just thought of something. Are the two holes pictured below on each side of the bumper for additional lights?

    Michael,
I have that pic out of the RS book as well... always thought it's a cool place for them...

    Neil,
That very well might be what those holes are for...

    This is what I've found:
They do not show up in my factory '73 parts book..

However, in the RS book they are listed as factory option code #458
    - Round iodine fog lights, white, below bumper/ #459 - yellow

Sorry, probably doesn't help much ... I believe there was a Pelican thread on this.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the option number Chuck. I posted the question on Pelican too. I was hoping there was an RS owner that actually had the option installed for a close up of the bracket and mounting point. I'm planning this for my car.

Here's a closeup of the under bumper mounted fogs. The brackets are as GeorgeK describes.

Thanks George, Perry for the info and the great pics! I knew I could find the answer here.

Now it's off to the hunt!! I rather doubt I'm going to find a set but, we'll see. I'll probably end up fabbing a set.

    Cheers Guys

    Michael,

I've been think'n, my '73 is at 'street/track' ride height and on 205x55's in front (probably about an inch lower then euro ride height) ... And I am constantly scraping the paint off the bottom of my S spoiler just to the right and left of the space in the middle. It seems that those brackets are much lower AND further forward than what's already scraping on mine...

Just hoping your car's not to low…or those driveways might be quite a challenge…

Maybe those who have'm mounted there might want to chime in?

    Cheers,
