Can anyone tell me where to send my 2.4 and RS engine grilles to be re-anodised black, I have become sich of the purple look.
Does Harvey Weidman do them as well as wheels?
Thanks

Maybe try powdercoating it?

The black that has faded has been discussed on Pelican. Recently, someone said the Wurth black restore product was great. I thing that is what it was. Anyway, there sre some prducts out there.
I used to use a magic marker for a graet temporary fix.
Thanks for sharing Zeke....but the use of a "magic marker" is typical of the R Gruppe mentality....that and Duct Tape....The Gruppe could easily put out a 1000 and one uses of Duct Tape book....Originally Posted by Zeke

The original black anodizing has a great look if just a bit "patina-ed" IMO.
My car came with a nicely repainted black grille - but I found a good black anodized grille on the Pelican parts board for $75.00. Much happier with it - has a beautiful rich dark bronze look. They come up from time to time on Ebay, or post a wanted to buy ad on Pelican.
Be VERY descriptive on the specific type and quality of finish you expect (as many do not seem to know the difference between paint and anodizing - one guy kept responding to me with "yes... it's black" over and over, to the point of frustration. Turns out it was painted and he just didn't know any better). Also make sure all vanes are straight and attached.
