    Two Porsches and a Ferrari

JCR and our friend with a 355, went out Friday night for an impromptu friendly drive. Buzzing through the back roads of Michigan with cool summer night air at dusk made for a perfect night, windows down and sunroof open. That combined with the killer exhaust note from the 355 with Tubi exhausts and of course the early flat 6 bouncing of the rev limiter serveral times made music through the woods.
These cars just continue to delight the more and more you drive them. What a blast driving around some high speed sweepers with my foot to the floor trying to keep up with the modern Ferrari and seeing Jared on my tail doing the same.

Such a blast I thought I needed to share the experience I know you all have!

    Cheers,

    Great pics!

Yeah, we had to gang up on him to get a fair fight - displacement-wise that is.

These old tubs do a pretty damn respectable job hangin with the big boys.

We ended up at the GM Proving Grounds - and security immediately surrounded us... not to kick us out, just admiring the cars.
Couldn't talk our way onto the high banked oval though.

Uhhh.....errrrr......HEYA CURT! How ya doin pal?!

Totally impromtu - I was on my way to meet some friends at a movie when I got the call (did someone say gumball?). Next thing I knew, I was in the Pcar, headed the opposite direction. Let's see... watch Matt Damon act tough or backroad carving on a perfect summer evening... not much of a choice!

Next time... a little more notice. Any good routes in-between us?

That's all right, my sport muffler probably would have drowned out that Ferrari motor anyway ...... Pretty congested between us. Maybe a few good roads here and there.

    Since we're speaking Italian

Who's headed to Monterey this weekend?

Sorry for hijacking the thread ... love the pics ... wish there were some GM proving ground motion shots.

    Impromptu parking lot skidpad exercises?
