Blaupunkt Radio 'Frankfurt' (U.S. Band)
Comfort Package
Tinted Glass
The car, when finished will have Fuchs, Sport Seats with houndstooth inserts, a front fender oil cooler, and A/C.
But, here's my confusion. The car has a steel "S" spoiler, "S" Gauges, sway bars front and rear. A total "S" add-on package that likely came with the car when delivered. So, why doesn't the CofA say that?

Larry,
What kind of oil cooler are you having installed and are you keeping the battery box?

Regarding the battery boxes, yes I am leaving them in. I hadn't heard of anyone really taking them out. Do people do that??

The best (pre-89, factory) cooler is the Carrera cooler, but it needs airflow to work best. To that end, a lot of guys remove the right battery box. With the 28-row cooler (which is also pretty good), airflow isn't as big an issue. I'd leave your battery box in place.

Jack. So, apparently I did OK with the type of cooler that I got - it was one of my first purchases after getting the car. Guess I planned correctly, even if I can't count the number of tubes.

Super Olde Threade . . . but one worth bumping, I think
I want Our Site to be THE PLACE for people to come to, who want to learn something/anything about Early 911s --- especially if they're trying to unravel/learn about the history + original state of a car
IMO --- one of the key sources for learning about any car is interpreting its Kardex . . . a disturbingly-brief little document, generated by Porsche, that identifies everything from vehicle ID numbers + options to dealer arrangements, the kinds of door keys fitted, and --- on occasion . . . some pretty special stuff
Anyway, we just had another thread where someone posted their Kardex and some interesting comments/observations/interpretations came out . . .
http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...rsonal-67-911S
I see Kardexs sprinkled here + there, so --- rather than just have them randomly turn up as we bump into them? . . . I thought I'd start a thread
As it turns out, Scott already did . . .
. . . 10 years ago
Anyway . . . I think this could be another great resource for people to use --- + another reason for people to come to Our Site . . . + learn more about Our Cars
I mean --- who else does stuff like this?
