To my mind, there aren't enough references made to 'The Fall' on this bulletin board.

    And

Exactly what does this discussion have to do with Porsches...let alone the R Gruppe.

    The Cuckoo's Nest

In Costa Mesa --- on Placentia

    Loved that place

Think my Sis told me about it

After a f*cking decade of Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles, the stuff I heard there was just totally over-the-top

The Motels, X, XTC, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Pogues

    And the clothes

NO UNIFORM! Just show up and do whatever. Surfers and Jocks? --- got destroyed there. Think you're cool? Step on over to the mosh pit --- we got your 'cool'. I remember a couple showing-up in Angel's Flight Disco-wear, one night. Dunno how they got outta there alive --- her, especially. (Kinda lit) Mohawks and skinheads, girls in tats + combat boots, spray-painted rag shirts, pierced noses and lips, and all the other crazy stuff people made themselves and showed-up in. Swear --- looked like every consignment shop in Cali had exploded and all their junk landed in there

    Loved it

First time I felt like I actually fit in, like, anywhere. It was actually OK to be a dork

    After a couple of trips there? . . .

    . . . cut my hair

Haven't thought about the place in years

    But I'll never forget it

    Haven't been the same, since

    F*cking place is even in Wikipedia! . . .
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuckoo...st_(nightclub)

    Yeah --- a documentary, too . . .

    F*ck I'm old . . . . . . . . . . . not

Old Thread Alert and getting back to Marco's original post. I did not see the original ad, but when someone mentioned the inside the car adjustable rear torsion bar setup, I immediately thought of my car. Then Eric mentions the it was Mike Foster's car, I know it is my car that was in Marco's original post. And yes, it is still safely with me having been driven across the country multiple times. And will again in May for Treffen in Santa Fe.

Wish I could see that original DuPont ad.
