    front suspension pan repair

Need to repair front suspension pan on early 911, front cross member damaged. Anyone done this & whose products did you use?
Both Perf Prods & Stoddards have the repair panel - $179 & $190 respectively - has anyone had expertence with these panels?
Both are repros - PP states theirs are made in the Orient (so what isn't???)
Would prefer to go with the better quality panel rather than the cheapest - also would prefer to get something local (LA or CA).
Any other options anyone knows of.
    Thanks an advance,
    Kiwi

I've used panels from Restoration Design http://www.restoration-design.com/catalog.pdf.

Top quality & excellent (& rapid) service.

Ill second the restoration design. Bill is a good guy to work with his suspention pan and gas tank support package are 194.00. Good quality, I think he still makes these for Stoddard. He does make a few other parts for Stoddard as well...good luck.

One more vote for Restoration Design. Did one for a 73 911 last year. Bill makes great early 911 body parts. The pan he makes fits like a glove, not like the cheap Asian knock offs. Price is good too. Next, you need a good body man who knows what he is doing with a torch....

I used the Restoration Design panels for the front pan in my old '73. Bill can be tough to get in touch with sometimes so leave him a message if you call and get the voicemail. Good luck!

    Talking Bill gets the vote

Thanks everyone - the replies were exactly what I needed. I logged onto the Restoration Design site so will contact Bill re the panel(s). Quality of panels & fit is an important factor - ill-fitting repros are simply false economy!
I have an excellent bodywork technician so that aspect is a breeze.
Thanks again to all who replied!
