May the roll bar's function never be needed.

    Chuck,

Did you install the rollbar as a result of on-track car class req'mts...or just for the fun of it? I know you occasionally hit SoW with the POC...does the new engine bump you up a class and so now it's req'd?

    Just curious....

Will probably be at the Big track with the Alfa club next month to see what the new motor can do...

Awesome Chuck, should be fun running with all the old Alfas (again for you ). Judging from the lap times at previous Big Willow Alfa events an R Gruppe 911 driven well should be very competitive in the time trails. Good R Gruppe presence with you and Johnny Riz in the time trial and RG member Mike Marshall and I (along with a couple other Porsches) entered in the race.
The drive to Solvang sounds fun. The old VW show sounds ok, the back roads around Fox canyon even better.
Johnny and I have weekend passes for TCRA at Big Willow. It will be my first time out on Dunlop slicks. A tight fit under the RS look fenders, 248/38R17 fronts and 301/31R18 rears. I'll try to improve on my 1:31 R rated tire time.

Speaking of track events Hayden Burvill may join us at Streets of Willow in November. 11/13 & 14 is the San Diego Region PCA time trial. Have you had a chat with Hayden? I bet both you guys could talk race cars non stop through an entire dinner! I'll buy the wine!

Nice pic Chuck, handsome piece, what is the factory name for that color blue?

    Chuck,
Your rig looks great. However, I noticed that you've got the rear Euro turn signal lenses and the big USA only rubber bumperettes! If only for sake of consistency, those bumperettes gotta go.....

Johnny - Should be fun at Willow with us-all and the Alfas...

Mike G. - You should be faster on the new 'big' tires... as if 31's isn't fast already
    - The factory color is #334 Medium Blue Metallic
    - Don't think I've chatted with Hayden in person ... always fun to compare fuzzy memories
    - Not sure about Nov. 13/14 ... POC is there the weekend before...

Gruen - I agree, after 15 1/2 years I'm finally go'n to change them out ... waiting for a care package from Vermont any day now

    Cheers,
