Standard matt white lettering on med blue letter boxes, flash-chromed, no Makers' marks/ID, shown w/ std CA pass, etc, etc --- yeah-yeah, wrong year, whatever . . .

Overall, pretty nice condition little bit . . . w/ only traces of the screws that held it on whatever car/truck/trailer/vehicle that it came off of. Indifferent finishing is pretty typical --- blue looks brushed, maybe? --- then the white rolled on?. I'd almost think that this's been re-finished . . . but the back-side is just about spotless, so . . . wonder where this thing's been hiding/hanging all these years. One-year-only dealer, too

STOP the Presses Printing occupies the location today --- and it's not a big one, lemme tell ya . . . about the size of one of today's gas station/mini-marts. How many cars could a place that small 've sold in such a short time? . . .

    . . . and in Stockton ---- !?!
Thanks for posting this!! My father (Sam Travale) Owned Travale Porsche+Audi from 1972 - 1980. We were at this location for only a year, but moved to a much bigger location downtown.

Hey there! Joe was my uncle. My father Sam and my Uncle Joe ran Porsche+Audi together. I was fairly young (I was 12 when my dad sold the dealership). I learned how to drive a stick on a 911. That was expensive.

    . . . moving + becoming . . .

    Aero Porsche Audi, Inc
    817 No. LaBrea Ave
    etc

    . . . sometime after --- late '70, maybe (?)

    Jeez --- another band-sander resto, looks like, w/ only the faintest traces of dessicated original paint left --- bluish + whitish (?) that I can tell . . . and, like most Aeros that I've seen . . . pretty beat-up + crackly/crusty + decomposed-looking. See post #48, pic #4 . . .

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...hering+friends

This particular frame is interesting because, even though Aero calls itself a VW store . . . there's no VW badging --- only Porsche

Anyway, going by the others that I've seen, this prolly started out as white-lettering-on-blue-etc . . . std CA pass plt-etc
My targa was ordered as a demo car for aero in 1967. California corporate records show it was only in existence for a couple years, maybe before Westwood P+A? The frame I found about 5 years ago.

Sun-West Porsche, where my 71E originated, is no more; it is now a Tile store.
