I have a Porsche originally sold by Cavanaugh Brothers Motors, 545 Daniel Webster Highway in Manchester, New Hampshire. They were listed in the dealer book.

I wish I could find a dealer frame from Cavanaugh! No luck so far, unfortunately.

    Best,
    Andy in New Hampshire

    Bell Porsche Audi

I found this plate frame a few years ago. I'm not originally from New Jersey but have lived here for over 30 years and Rahway is only a couple of exits away. So, I bought it just for that reason.
Sadly, the seller had no regard whatsoever for preserving its condition. It was packed in a paper envelope with no hard protection and the results are pretty clear in the photos.
People like this drive me nuts.

    Greene . . .

    . . . From the '70 thru '72 PDLs . . .

    Greene Motors Porsche Audi, Inc
    10840 Firestone Blvd
    Norwalk, CA

Matte white lettering in less-than-vivid green 'phonographed' rockers, surrounded by a sprinkly/sparkly textured + flash-chromed frame; no Makers' mark or marks of any kind; plate = std CA pass, etc, etc

Looks like McKenna took over the location + franchise

    Leroy Cannon

Leroy Cannon Volkswagen (? thru 1972?)
South Church Street Extension, Greenville, SC 803-233-4331

    407-C02 Leroy Cannon Porsche Audi Inc (1974 thru ?) 405 in 1974

Now I know the stamp shows 405 and not 407, but that might have changed between 1974 and 1981 with a revamp of the distributorships.

I have some old frames in pretty good condition, but pitted and would like to get them restored. Does anyone know if there is a company that will rechrome and paint them in the original colors? Thanks

    Estes-Zipper . . .

    . . . from the '68 thru '70 PDLs . . .

    422/042/1
    Estes-Zipper Motor Co
    9130 Wilshire Blvd ('68-9)
    8423 Wilshire ('70)
    Beverly Hills, CA 90212

White lettering in charcoal gray (or decomposed black, maybe?) rockers sprinkled with diamond rain detailing + delicate linen texturing in the lower corners = what else but another classic RWB&Co frame --- and this time marked, as such

    Plate is very late CA black-plate --- 'ZUW' prefix . . . issued before the change-over to blue-plates on 01-Nov '69

    Bit more authentic, too, this one --- me-thinks . . . or 'less-restored,' anyway?

Or maybe I've just become too fond of pickled flash-chrome
