    Towson Valley Motors, Inc
    103 East Penna. Ave
    Towson, MD

    . . . then, from the Nov '72 PDL, shows moved to . . .

    801 North York Road
    Towson (Baltimore), MD

Dull white lettering on a dull med blue back-round, flash-chromed, no makers' marks/ID. Presents as un-restored + never-mounted (?) + spectacular condition . . . like NOS. Plate is std MD pass iss w/ yr-of-exp sticker

    Ed Pape'

    One of my 'Humpty Dumpties' . . . another Ed Pape' . . . this time minus -Cross . . . (see post #137) . . .

    . . . from the Apr '69 PDL . . .

    Ed Pape' Volkswagen
    20 Coburg Road
    Eugene, OR 97401

    Another odd-ball --- w/ Porsche branding on the frame . . . but always called itself a VW store. No PDL references after MY70 so . . . one-year only (?)

    Un-restored w/1 clean break + still attached/fused to the plate it was found w/ . . . no maker's marks/ID. Finishes are pretty-much un-recognizeable, so . . . your guess would be as good as mine. Plate = std OR pass iss, '69 base-plate . . . w/ what looks like a coupla decades-worth of reg stickers

    Richter . . .

    From the '72 and '73 PDLs . . .

    Richter Volkswagen, Inc
    W. Va. Rt. 7 at Sabraton
    Morgantown, WV

Not sure how many Porsches were sold in West Virginia --- like, ever . . . but if you were looking for a dealer, here's one that had a franchise. Although, not enough to push Oldsmobile off their frame

    Dull white lettering on a dull grey-blue back-round, flash-chromed, no maker's mark/ID. Plate = std WVa pass iss, stamped w/ yr-of-reg . . . the last year

    Veale . . .

    From the '68 + '69 PDL . . .

    426/034/1
    Veale Volkswagen
    1015 Santa Rosa Ave
    Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Lots of Veales around --- just not all the same kinds. Red ones, black ones, w/ VW + Porsche emblems, w/o,etc. And I see these all over the place, too --- even caught sight of one on the back o' some local college kids beater bus. These are a set that came off of a '63 Type I 'vert project that had been laid-up for restoration . . . for, like, about 3 decades. Un-restored OG . . . and extremely b!tchin'. Dull red lettering on a dull white back-round, flash-chromed, no maker's mark/ID. Shown w/ vintage CA 'black' plates, pass issue, circa '64. Prolly more appropriate for 356, but? . . .

    Other Veales . . .

Some other Veales. Later ones have unique font

Appears on none of the PDLs that I have (between '70 & '74), so . . . interesting that one of these reads Veale Porsche. After '74, maybe?

    From the '69 and '70 PDLs . . .

    426/036/1
    Helm Motor Company
    515 Toulomne St
    Vallejo, CA 94594, 94590

Kinda difficult to distinguish, but appears to be black lettering over a white back-round, flash-chromed. Plate = std CA pass iss w/ yr-of-exp reg stkr . . .

    Catron . . .

    From the '68 PDL . . .

    422/117/1
    Catron Motors, Inc
    800 East Holt Ave
    Pomona, CA 91766

    . . . in '70, becoming . . .

    Catron Porsche Audi
    770 West Holt Ave

Nice big fat font . . . see/read this a mile off. Frame looks to've been manually/mechanically brushed or stripped, somehow . . . metal looks pretty decent but only traces of the original red finish left, in the back-round, along w/ some white along the borders
