FYI - Cool Color ID Page

A VERY comprehensive site which allowed me to finally find that my 231 code is Sambesi-Grün, used Aug '72 - July '73.

    I feel much better now~

I agree. This is a great site. Unfortunately, my 40 year old HS German is too weak to be of much use here.

I'd had high hopes for that one too, Harry.
They just don't list as many codes and names.
It is nice that they show some of the colors, though.

But oddly enough, the site you list does not show the original Signal Yellow (code 114) my '73 was painted until one of the PO's changed it to Red!.

Seems these guys need to get togeether to make one site for all of our needs!

Mike I see you have one of the 1973.5's like mine. Does it still have the CIS?

Yes Harry, the CIS is intact.

In fact the car just arrived here in NY from San Diego a couple days ago. Got a chance to drive it around the block (no plates yet..), but no further.
What an interesting feeling car. Completely different than my '84, thankfully - which is why I bought it That and it's that funky, '70's Sambesi-Grün!
The T pulls great and feels like a go-kart. I am thinking it'll be a little more entertaining on public roads than the newer car.

Can't wait to get some time to start poking around and dialing it in!
