Opinions - Chrome Tipped Sport Muff

I installed a sport muffler I have on a trial basis, and can purchase for a very reasonable price. Chrome tips wouldn't have been my first choice, but now that it's on... I kinda like it with the silver paint and chrome bumperettes.

Whaddya think?? Is it a keeper? Opinions please.

BTW - the car is DEFINITELY louder (I drove around tonight with that EXACT grin on my face... especially through freeway underpasses!). It also feels faster... is there a standard hp increase with the sport? and if so, how much? (running Webers).

    Thanks in Advance!

    Thumbs up

I'm not a fan of anything but steel pipes for exhaust.

But I gotta say, I think that looks awesome.

    Jared,

Yeah, I have to agree with Jack. The first photo showing the Silver paint, chrome bumper guards and tips along with the black emblem and grill looks fantastic. BTW, I like the license plate too.

I have to agree. I would have never chosen chrome, but on your car it looks great!

    very cool...

I say keep 'em. The chrome tips look fine. I agree with the other statements, they look great with your cars chrome trim and beautiful silver paint.

Easily swapping mufflers is one of the few benifits that running carbs can give you. The sport muffler is a really neat item.

Damn! I shoulda listened to Curt and Cornpanzer - and put one of these on a long time ago. Great sound! I'm keeping it - thanks for the comments.

Tom, I'm told it was ordered through Pelican - not actually sure of the manufacturer. The chrome tips are not (easily) removable.
