    'S' Guages in a 'T'/ Fog Switch?

#1) Does anybody here have info regarding the usage of the 7250 redline tach in a 'T' with 'S' gauges?

Or did the 'S' gauge package include just the oil level, numerical oil pressure and temp with the standard 6250 unit?

#2) Ever see a fog light switch and no fog lights?

My car has no covers and no fogs in the valance - I am guessing it HAD fogs at some point~

    Whaddya think?

Thanks for any help putting the puzzle together,

    Mike

My 73 1/2 appears to have the S gauges but a 6500 redline tach.

I have no documentation but most of the car appears to be as delivered from the dealer so I do not think there was a subsequent gauge upgrade.

The S gauge package was an option on all models, but as far as I know, the tach redline was set to match the engine specs. Left, center, and right sides of my dash. Car has factory fogs. Original.

    Switch, but no fog lights

Mike, my car has a fog light switch and no fog lights. My guess is that they were removed, when a post 71 S spoiler was installed. It also has no covers under the spoiler. Mine is wired for the fog lights however, which further confirms that it had fog lights originally. I'm now saving for a pair of good hella 128's.

    I have a T with S gauges and 6500rpm tach...
Tach redline would match the engine... in the T it would have to be 6500rpm.

Thanks for all the great responses, guys.
Really confirms what I was suspecting all along.

The part that threw me regarding the tach, is the fact that the silver center hub (on my 6250 redline unit - in the car when it came to me) is not there. And not on the clock, for that matter. So, it got me thinking about it having been replaced and what I need to find to make it correct again. To further complicate matters, while reading Peter Morgan's 'Original Porsche 911' I noticed one of the featured cars (73, I think) having a mix of gauges on the same car; some with and some without silver center hubs. There were, of course, no silver hubs on '74's...and mine being a 73.5 - was it in produced while those hubs were being phased out??

    And, the fog lights...

Is there a site or book that lists and shows the available fog/ driving light options so I know what I should be looking for?

I really like the ones through the horn grills~

This is all too much for someone to process while on cold medication....

Thanks again for all the help,
    Mike
