Wow, cool seat! I am hardly the seat police (more like the "Seat Barney Fife") but I sure like that one. Looks like the side bolsters are torn up somewhat.

this is the same type of scheel seat that rick just picked up, I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a model 300.

Sam - I'm fairly positive that the ebay seat is not the same as the one Rick recently bought.

I recently bought (& then resold) an identical seat in Germany but I don't think this particular version was ever fitted in a Porshe - it is very 'bulky' compared to any of the Recaro/Scheel seats which often found their way into early 911's. They were typically used in BMW CSL's & racing Escorts, etc.

    Andy,

I know there were severel verisons of these style seats but if you go back to Ricks original thread I think you will find that he mentions the drivers seat has an adjustment knob, which is not shown in the picture ( Rick if you listening I would still like to see some more detailed pic's of those seats ) so other then the headrest style and the modifed base I think it's the same seat .

    Jerry,

the seat that you saw on e-bay was set up for a 914-6, the headrest is a different style then what would be correct for a 911, but thats not to say that it wouldn't fit in a 911 with the right hardware, most any of these early buckets can be fitted to a 911.
