As far as I know there is no base for the 911r (copies) seats available which allows the whole seat to be tilted forward, or is there? Anybody?

Please correct me if wrong folks ,, I know of no aftermarket unit either .. but couldn't you use the 66'-67' sportseat tilt frame??? That is if you'd find one.. It should bolt up...!
Robert...
any of the pre 69 sport seat seat brackets would work

I don't think you (Sam and Robert) are correctly addressing the question.
For the aftermarket seats....you need to be able to slide the seat, and tip the seat.
The 67/68 seat has a built in slider...
The 69 to 73 seats have a drop down height adjustment attached to the seats.
So that's what you would have to add to the aftermarket seats in order to then be able to address the tip bracket issue....
Eric
after market or reproduction seat + current double locking sliders with tabs + tip bracket = sliding and tiping seat

It would have to be the 67/68 tip bracket....as you would have multiple sliders and decreased headroom with the 69/73 brackets.

My mistake! Of course you're right, and that's why I'm just the deputy....maybe I should actually read your posts!
This stuff is so easy to find anyway.......ya know, I just passed on a dozen sets of these last week!
Well,
After some due diligence on my part.....lookie here at what I found....

Now if the bracket mounting points (on the seat) line up with Peter Z's stuff, then you've got something....well, at least something interesting, if not exactly OE looking.
