  1. #1

Question Minilite wheels and early 911?

Will a 15x7 minilite wheels fit a early 1971 911T with no problems?
I plan to use 205/55 tires.

    thanks for your replies

I believe 7" would be a problem, however my 6.5" with 195X60 fit just fine!!

7s will fit fine with the right offset, as answered in your PP thread on this subject. You need to specify whether you are using them in front or back to determine the necessary offset.

This is not a vcery good picture - the wheels are on my 76 912E daily beater & I've also had them on my 71 911E.

This one's not mine, but I spotted it at Road Atlanta a few years back.

Thank you for all your reponses

looks good, my main concern is can I use 15x7 minilite on the rear?

will i have to roll the fender lips if i use 205/55 tires and just lower the car a little bit?

will there be any rubbing in the inside wheel wells?

i know according to minilite 15x6 or 15x6.5 is no problem to use.

As stated elsewhere, clearance with 7" wheels at the back can be accomplished. There seems to be enough variance from car to car that your question probably can't be conclusively answered. Usually, a spacer must be used with R wheels to avoid rubbing on the inside. If you ordered your Minilites with R offset, you would have the ability to select spacers that centered the wheel in the available wheel well space. Alternatively, perhaps you could experiment with your existing wheels to determine what offset would work best for your car. In general, it seems like 205s wold be no problem given the right amount of offset.

My '71 911 right now is equipped with its original 14" fuch wheels, this is why iam looking for a set of 15x6 fuch or go with minilites.
