    Help...

Just put the engine back in on the 68 and decided to take another compression and leak down test after my work...now starts the problem:

I cant get the hose out of number 3 SP hole! The hose (snap-on compression test hose) is spinning on the air fitting and therefore will not unscrew! -- just spins and spins and spins on the fitting.
I oiled the threads as usual and there should still be some residual anti-seize on there from installing new plugs anyway. The hose threaded in fine by hand so cross threading is not an issue. So, maybe the engine after cooling down after the test has shrunk too much ( I left the hose in there for a few hours while trouble shooting another problem). SOOOO.... DO I start up the motor and let her warm up w/o the sparkplug in the hole? I would think I should get enough expansion that way to remove the hose...I hope. Just do not feel like removing the engine again this week.

    TIA

    problem solved.

Don't ask. Let this be a lesson to you all. Dont make up your own hoses. Use the supplied Snap On set and go.

Geez Tom, Why didnt you tell me yesterday???

Have the 68 back on the road and had a great fall drive. Nothing like crisp fall air, the sound of weber induction, 2 liter exhaust note reverberating off the walls and fallen leaves blowing in swirls as I look thru the rear view mirror.

    Love it!

    Happy Halloween
