    Fritz,

You might want to visit a few of the Air Cooled Porsche specialty shops in your area and ask who they use for machine work. Also, the local PCA chapter may be able to provide a few referrals.

I don't think that it is customary to rebuild 911 oil pumps. Instead, you might want to consider using a late-style pump (after '77) which features a larger pressure side and smaller scavenge side. Along with a modification to the oil pressure bypass system this will result in less oil in the crankcase along with better oil pressure. Wayne Dempsey's book, as well as Anderson's, deals with these issues extensively.

    Hi:

Oil pumps cannot be rebuilt as there are no parts available to rebuild them,...

When their internal parts become worn, scored, or otherwise damaged where they lose efficiency, replacement is the only option.

As indicated above, a later oil pump is a very good and worthwhile upgrade to improve oil pressure and help reduce oil temperature due to better scavenging.

One cannot buy the late 2.7 or SC oil pumps any longer so your only choice for these smaller pumps is the Carrera one. The case must be modified to use them and most knowledgeable Porsche machine shops can do this.
