From what I understand, the change-over was sometime during the 1971 model year...so, it's flat sixes for we who have 2.4 models...that is, if you're after original looks.

Thanks Guys, I had that feeling. The wheels on my newly aquired low mile 72 T are showing their age. I have a fresh set of deep six wheels so I was thinking... I also have access to a set of Minilites. Wonder how that would look? This car is so nice and original that I hate to change anything but it needs a set of wheels! Thanks again,

Don..the good news is that Weidman's would sell you a set of beautifully finished flat 6's for less than a set of deep sixes. Another thought is that cookie cutters fit the car well...

I've got a nice set of flat sixes from my 72' Coupe I was going to put on my 71'S. My 71' is a late 71' (April) so technically speaking it probably came with flat sixes but most 71' cars came with deep sixes. I've been torn over this because I like the look of deep sixes but not enough to throw down big money.
If you would like to do a trade I would consider having my wheels refinished by Weidman per your specification and cover the cost of shipping for both sets. The wheels have no curb rash and are presentable as they are but they are not fresh.
