    matching numbers for 1975 2.7

Can anyone help on this please

I am looking at a 1975 model year European 2.7 carrera, manufactured in 1974 and would like to verify the chassis number and engine numbers

Porsche GB do not have records that go back that far

    chassis is 911 5600 237
    engine is 665 0317

    do they sound correct ?
    thanks a lot

Those numbers look OK to me. Its one of 518 Carrera Coupes built in 75, a rare car. Is it L or RHD? Porsche GB have records all the way back for RHD cars. I have a letter of authenticity for my 67S from them.

after a bit of debate and lots of thinking I finally took delivery of the car today, needs a fair amount of work but as its taken me 2 full years to find an original black carrera coupe with chrome trim it was almost a foregone conclusion, best part was i found it within 5 miles of home, and from an old copy of 911 and Porsche World

car is RHD, first registered 27/11/1975 around 95,000 recorded miles, pretty solid but certainly the usual rust issues , and probably a few more besides

Last owner started restoration but did not get far, I plan to take my time and record all of the work, some I'll do my self and others will seek professional help, can't wait

will post pictures if anyone is interested

I used to keep the Carrera 2.7 Register for the PCGB, so I have some info on your car. AFN's records show delivery on 21-Nov-1974 in Black with Midnight Shetland twill interior, Registered as GLP 871N. It was recorded as having "major damage recorded against vehicle" in AFN's records
