The flame is alive in Germany!

I am pleased to say that the early 911 flame is burning well in the southern town of Pfaffenhausen Germany.
On this weeks visit to Ruf, Alois took the time to show us some of his 'stuff".
Ruf is know worldwide for building the world's fastest supercars.
Behind the scenes, they restore early 911, 356, 904 ,ect.. and do a incredible job. Better than the factory in my opinion. Alois Ruf is a TRUE early 911 man, no doubt about it. First class shop, first class guy!

    But at what price? €€€€€

Rick, there are literally dozens of Porsche experts over here who lovingly restore cars to better than original condition. In spite of that, The Sueddeutsche Zeitung (the main newspaper in Southern Germany) recently had a feature on John Paterak and his early restorations in NJ. Go figure.

    Talking Rick, you lucky DOG!

You got it right, Alois does painstaking work on early Porsches. I've heard it said (by someone that knows him well) that he uses only NOS pieces or parts that he restores in-house. Truly uncompromised quality. He doesn't do "better than new" work, he does "just like new" work. Even the factory doen't go to the same lengths in their restorations. I'd have to say that your own work is absolutely top-notch too!

By the way, you didn't happen to see a certain 911 GT while you were there, did you?!

Nope, but I hear it's in route.
Snowing to beat the band here in the city! Probably you have been on the slopes all day.
Yes, first class work he does!
