Check out the "support vehicles"...this is long before a team needed a couple of semi's and a team of 20-30 to be successful in racing. Today, only the "poor folks" in historic racing events suffer along with such an underfunded effort...

    You got THAT right Paul...

About 8 years ago I replaced a turn table for my vinyl (most likely the last I'll ever buy) and the sales kid, even then, asked me "Why are you buy'n THAT for"...

    ... and so it goes

Tell-ya what... Of all the cool RSR's on the track back then ... one of the da-bad-ass IMSA cars of all time was the Horst Kwech/Harry T. Yashica sponsored /Ausca V6 Capri-GT... Harry was the money guy who co-drove with Kwech, one of the best race prep guys of the day... and super driver. Kwech drove EVERYTHING - TransAm Mustangs for Shelby, 2.5 TransAm Alfa's for Wetson, formula 5000 ... etc. The Capri was a derivative of the European Broadspeed cars, and had a 440 hp 4 cam Cosworth V6... Unlike the RSR's, this car was stressed-to-the-max!!! ....... When it didn't 'melt' (witch it did allot) it was usually near the front... man, this was GREAT racing !!!!

... Their trailer is in the 3rd. pic on this thread

This is a page from my '75 IMSA Camel-GT Competition Press/Autoweek pamphlets...
