They probably ran 7s. With some "Flaring" 8s were ran. Many racers removed the rear bumpers in SCCA and Trans Am to save some weight. Cool picture.

No flares, but they sure are big compared to the fronts.
They look familiar but not Fuchs - really looks nice and I sure would like to find a way to fit some wheels like that on my car ( R Fuchs are too $ for me right now)
Bumper gone is kinda cool too.

Nice pic of a period '68 racer...

    Guys,
I'll be running "sans rear bumpers" this coming season. Since I'm all steel (no fiberglass anywhere) that's a fair amount of weight that comes off, and is a very period "early" race look.
Not to mention the additional corner balancing benefits...

The Torque-thrust wheels are pretty slick too...

I'll post pics of the "homemade 911 (v2.0)" once I get it past annual tech. I can't wait...been outa the car too long.

    Happy Holidays everyone
    cheers

Yes, those are the expoding-type wheels. No, that's not Cornpanzer's car.

Signed, a friend of a friend who knows Vic Elford.
