Any experience with 2 in 3 out muffler?

Hello, has anyone owned or experienced a 2 in 3 out muffler? Specifically I'm interested to know if there is a significant sound difference between running with one open exhaust (on the side) versus the two open in the middle. I currently have a 2 in 2 out Dansk and I'm wondering if the 2 in 3 out could be the best of both worlds; quiet on the highway with two capped and then opened up and throaty in the twisties with one or none capped. Any and all input is welcomed.

I have a SYCIP (sp?) muffler which may or may not be available still. With the side exit capped and the 2 remaining pipes opened it is rather raucous and emits an occasional pop. With the 2 central pipes capped and the side opened it sounds "stock" plus the car seems to fuel better which may be down to the MFI tuning. It is the best of both worlds in my opinion.

I've had a 2 in/3 out that I made from an old Leistritz on my car for years. Have caps but never use them. -- mainly because I love the sound. I do have worries that capping = mixture changes.
