    1967 911S now on ebay

    Ebay item # 4510973780

This car is listed on ebay as 306973S . I'm not sure but it looks to be missing some S items. Would someone with better knowlege comment on the following:

    black faced gauges
    aluminum dash details
    turn signal stalk
    passenger door armrest
    non-deco bumper trim
    911/07 engine, don't know what that is. Wasn't a 901/07 a 130Hp engine with sportomatic fittings?

Does anyone know this car? Has anyone looked at it?
    Thanks, Bob

    I think a 911/07 type is a 2.2? Its probably a 2.2 T engine- looks like a black shroud.

That is one heck of a mongrel. Doors are from LWB car based on fixed wing windows. Engine (901/07 is '69 E or S according to B. Johnson's book) and wheels also from later car. Dash aluminum seems correct but gauges and knobs are from '69 or later. Steering wheel and column also appear to be from later car. Door panel pocket is "early" but passenger armrest looks "late". Probably other issues as well. At first I thought it was a '69 mislabled as a '67. However, it appears to have the heat vent in the longitudinal so it is clearly a SWB chassis.

From what I got from the seller it looks like a 2.2 T motor.

It sure ain't no 'purists' car to be sure. It could, however, be an ok ride for daily slummin. If the price is right....

If that poor old car was ever an S at one time...it has all been cleared away. No S trim on ext. or int. The only S item on the car is the later model steering wheel! 2,2 T US engine and a powder blue oil filter to boot.
