69S Man a question about yur Cab

Did you restore your 65 cab or did you buy it allready restored. And...how did you find it?

Ted, I bought the Cab from its 3'rd owner, never restored, and pretty 'ratty.' #'s mathing, very original car. It was in Soquel CA., near Santa Cruz, and the ad was in an ON-LINE magazine called 'Special Car Journal.'

I restored it completely myself. (Or, I should say, I 'hired and oversaw' the restoration.) I took it to some of the well known specialists, but was put off by either their attitude, price, or time-frame. Alas, it took nearly as long, and cost MORE to do it 'my way.' But I made a LOT of good friends along the way, and the car is STELLAR...and I tracked down the original owner, who picked it up at the Factory, and now have the factory build sheets, and shipping manifest forms... etc etc etc....
